Have you been looking to do some volunteering for good causes in your community? Do you like helping kids, having fun and feeling like you made a difference? Why not consider joining us and become a member of our Kiwanis club?
If you are interested in becoming a member of the Kiwanis Club of Pontchartrain, this is info you should know:
· You must attend at least three meetings and/or service projects before you can be considered for membership. This will give you an opportunity to meet us and understand how we engage in community service. Click on Monthly Meeting for details on when and where we meet. At meetings you will learn about different service projects you can be involved with.
· Our dues are $175 per year. Most of our dues go to Kiwanis International and our district (LaMissTenn) for administrative support. We retain less than $10 as a Club. It is up to you whether you think it is worth it to pay to volunteer. Dues will be due when the Board approves your membership.
· You will need a current club member to sponsor your membership. Introduce yourself to the Club at meetings and/or service projects if you don’t already have a sponsor.
· Once you satisfy the three meetings/projects requirement, complete a new member application, which can be found here, and submit it to [email protected]for consideration. Make sure your contact information is complete and up to date. The Board will review your application and notify you via email of your status.
KCP member and Key Club coordinator, Karen Darensburg is shown as she presents the Jonathan Louis Award to graduating Key Clubbers, Amaya Keychens and Madison Coney at the St. Mary Academy Baccalaureate. Amaya plans to attend Xavier University and would like to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. ... See MoreSee Less
